One BOLD Ingredient, Endless EASY Meals!

Hi Reader,

When it comes to recipes, my motto is to keep it simple, yet flavorful. And there is NO better ingredient to turn to to impart huge flavor to your meals than Basil Pesto!

Whether starting with store-bought or homemade pesto(seriously so easy to make!), this simple condiment elevates recipes with it's bold, vibrant, fresh flavor.

I have been using it on repeat and can't get enough!

My Favorite Ways to Use Basil Pesto

  • Add to Pasta: Use my recipe for pesto pasta for a pesto-forward recipe OR swirl it in creamy cavatappi pasta or add to the filling of stuffed shells for an herbaceous punch of flavor.
  • Baked Pesto Chicken: Spread chicken with pesto sauce and cheese and bake for a fast and flavorful chicken dinner.
  • Pesto Toast: Spread on toasted sourdough or your favorite bread. Add a poached egg to really take breakfast over the top.
  • As a Dip: Serve on the side of Antipasto skewers or warm Italian bread for dipping.
  • Pesto Eggs: Add a teaspoon or two of prepared pesto to scrambled eggs before cooking–insanely delicious!
  • Pesto Pizza: Spread pizza dough (or naan bread, pita bread, bagels, etc.) with a thin layer of the prepared pesto instead of pizza sauce, top with mozzarella and bake.
  • As a Spread: Use pesto to bump up the flavor in a sandwich or bruschetta. I personally love spreading pesto on thickly sliced bread and topping it with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella and then grilling. It is one of my all-time favorite sandwiches.
  • As a Marinade: Pesto is also great as a marinade. Toss chicken or shrimp with a bit of pesto and let marinade for 2-3 hours and then cook or grill as desired. So fast and flavorful!

Happy Cooking!

Kristen
