The Browns ALWAYS Lost… but Dinner was Worth it🏈😂

Hi Reader,

Every Sunday growing up, my family gathered at my grandparent’s house for a big Sunday dinner. And during the fall those Sunday suppers included watching the Cleveland Browns try their best (emphasis on try).😬

And while the scoreboard NEVER seemed to go our way (not much has changed in 40+ years!), my Grandpa's (or Papa to me) cooking never disappointed.

And today, I want to highlight one of his favorites, shared two ways because life looks a bit different today. 😉

  • Slow Cooker Pot Roast: This is my Papa's original recipe and you will NOT believe how flavorful it is considering how simple it is to make. It all comes down to ONE key ingredient.
  • Instant Pot Pot Roast: My Papa's recipe sped up! Perfect for if you are short on time or forgot to thaw your roast (we've all been there). It also features an easy two-step cooking process to keep the potatoes and carrots from turning to mush--so no worries there!

No matter which cooking method you choose, it's the kind of meal that makes you want to sit down, slow down, and maybe even forgive the Browns (or insert your NFL or college team) for losing again.😉

My Papa was known for so many more recipes that are perfect for Sunday Supper. If you aren't in the mood for Pot Roast, check out a few recipes inspired by my grandpa below:

Happy Cooking!
