If I was cooking for Dad...

Hi Reader,

If you are scrambling to think of something to make for Father's Day tomorrow, let me help.

Even without knowing your dad, I can guarantee at least one of these recipes will impress.

They aren't fancy or fussy. Just simple recipes, with a bit of flair that always get rave reviews.

For Breakfast

For Dinner

For Dessert

  • Light and Refreshing: A No-Bake Key Lime Pie that is tart, creamy, and incredibly easy to make.
  • A Classic Hit: Homemade Banana Pudding. It is creamy, rich, and undeniably my husband's all-time favorite.
  • For the Chocolate Lover: Chocolate Bundt Cake. It's moist, its rich, and dare I say, better than Nothing Bundt Cakes.

What I Am ACTUALLY Making

While I wanted to share with you ideas fit for a variety of fathers, here is what I am choosing to make myself.

  • For Dinner: Burgers + Homemade Baked Beans + Potato Chips (taking a shortcut and starting the beans with canned beans so I can spend the day at the beach with my husband and this is probably his favorite summer meal)
  • For Dessert: I typically go for banana pudding, but this year we are keeping it SUPER simple. I am grabbing peaches from the farm stand and grilling them with a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream Layla made.
  • For Breakfast: A cheese danish. Made by me...I like to keep it easy too 😉

Hopefully these ideas help make your menu planning a little easier.

Happy Cooking!

Happy Good Friday Reader, I hope you have had a great and are looking forward to a wonderful Easter weekend ahead. We had a wonderful visit with Tate last weekend and Layla enjoyed her college tours as well. It was so good for my heart (and Rio's) for the family to be together. ❤️ For Easter we plan to do church, brunch, and the beach if the weather holds -- my kind of plan! I hope you have a weekend full of blessings and sweet memories. Enjoy the meal plan (that includes Easter dinner +...
