Summer's Secret Weapon

Hi Reader,

Every summer, I come back to the same little kitchen hero: basil pesto.

It is bright, herby, garlicky, and packed with flavor. A spoonful can turn plain chicken, pasta, or pizza dough into dinner without asking much from you.

You can start with my homemade basil pesto, made with fresh basil, garlic, parmesan, nuts, and olive oil. Or grab a jar from the store. Both work -- and never feel guilty to take a shortcut when needed!

Once you have the pesto, dinner practically makes itself.🙌🏻

  • Layer it over chicken with tomatoes and mozzarella for Baked Pesto Chicken.
  • Toss it with hot pasta for a fast, flavorful Pesto Pasta.
  • Spread it over pizza dough with your favorite toppings for an easy Pesto Pizza that tastes like summer decided to show off.

Three easy meals. One flavorful shortcut. Minimal effort. Maximum payoff.

That is exactly the kind of summer cooking I can get behind.

Happy Cooking!

Hi Reader, Now that school is back in session, a sense of routine has returned. And with that comes a jam-packed schedule and the need for simple, satisfying meals. And while I have tons of ideas for school lunches, prep-ahead breakfasts, nourishing snacks, and 30-minute dinner recipes, sometimes all of those options can lead to decision fatigue (at least for me!) So I thought I would give you a starting point and share 5 things I am personally making this week. 5 Easy Recipes to Make This...

Hi Reader, Meal prep does not mean spending all day in the kitchen. For me, it often looks like planning my menu using similar ingredients and leftovers in new ways. Those three basics do the heavy lifting, while a few familiar toppings help each meal feel completely different. For the protein, you can choose what works best for your family: Instant Pot...
